MROTD: Thugs don't take calculus!

MROTD: I'm familiar with this district. It has 3 high schools. This is the best one. Yep. I have some observations and general advice that some of you are not going to want to hear, but you need to hear it. If you have children, I would recommend you avoid putting them in any predominantly black public school for as long as you can. Even a start up private school would be a better option. Private schools tend to be better learning environments and it's not because of the teachers. They tend to be less qualified than public school teachers. It's also not because of the education or curriculum. They're all as bloated and inefficient as the next version of Windows. You are paying to not have your children around (as many) animals like you see in the video. With a less toxic environment, you can do more with less. This is why I say, "The effort required to move the unwilling an inch can move the willing a mile."

Now what if you have to send your children to public school?

You should put your children in as many dual enrollment and advanced classes as possible. You want to know why? Because thugs don't take calculus! At least, not until they make it mandatory in some misguided attempt to put all students on the college track. I've taught in ghettos up and down the East Coast. You want to know where I've never had a brawl break out? In an AP Calculus class.

If your child is unable to take any advanced or dual enrollment classes once they are in high school, then he or she is most likely someone I want the good children to avoid. You have likely failed as a parent. How can I say that? Remember how I said I taught in all those ghettos? I taught advanced courses there too. If your child tried, he or she would be in at least one. The bar for entry is very low and many teachers will trip over themselves for a student showing the slightest bit of initiative. But yours isn't. Why is that?

Here is the bottom line: When black children are ready and willing to learn, they are the best students I've ever seen. That doesn't mean they have the highest test scores. It means they do the most with the least amount of resources.The problem is most are not coming in ready and willing to learn. And that is the fault of the parents and no one else. Even in one of the most inhospitable places on Earth to Black people, the United States, I've seen many examples, though clearly not enough, of parents raising their children correctly so I know it can be done. The problem isn't genetics; it's cultural, the culture that was foisted upon us and the one we now promulgate. I've seen black children from hell hole countries who had nothing to learn with but chalk and a cave wall come here and kick our (Black, White and other) a$$es all over the place, educationally speaking. Don't you find that odd? Maybe you would if you took calculus in high school.
