Some people are upset with Kanye because he tweeted about running for President as a write-in candidate. Their fear is that he might siphon some votes away from Biden and serve as "Kingmaker" to Trump. By the way, "Kingmaker" would be an excellent title to an upcoming album if he could somehow pull that off. Here's the problem with what's being said: He was an avid Trump supporter. So why would a former Trump supporter be of any concern to Black Democrats/Liberals? What you're really saying is you're afraid he might get support from otherwise Black Democrats and liberals who are enamored by his celebrity, but never actually listened to or cared about what he's said.
Here's my question: How would those voters be any different from you?🤔 As a Black Democrat/Liberal, you voted for Obama (twice) because he's African-American, but you clearly never listened to or cared about what he actually said. You voted for Hillary because Hillary is said to be female, but you clearly never listened to or cared about what Hillary actually said. You're voting for Biden because he's not Trump but, once again, you clearly never listened to or cared about what he actually said. So how would an otherwise Black Democrat or Liberal voting for Kanye in this scenario be behaving any differently than you have in the past or present? You, and most people in general, vote based on very superficial characteristics and how the candidates make you feel. It's not any more or less stupid when someone does it for a different candidate. Obama was an underdog in Democratic nominee process until he wasn't. Trump was supposed to get slaughtered in the general election, but he won. The problem isn't with Kanye; it's with you.
