Piggybacking of my last post, I think the choice is obvious for most Black people in the country: vote third party or abstain from voting for a presidential candidate. It only gets tricky for those in swing states that are extremely close. I know quite a few people who are facing a dilemma: Do I vote my conscience or vote to nullify another vote?

Let me break it down.

I know brothers in Philly and Atlanta who are faced with a tough choice. They could vote 3rd party because those candidates more closely align with their political world views. The problem is they know a bunch of Black broads who are going to vote for Kamala. Kamala sits diametrically opposed to virtually everything they believe in. Let me re-frame the problem from one centered around morality to one more about utility. In a place where the decision could come down to a few thousand votes, do they get the most bang for their buck by voting 3rd party or voting to nullify the vote of the ignorant?

First, let me address a few common talking points. Democrat supporters believe that if you don’t vote for Kamala, you must be a die-hard Trump supporter. Their politics, unlike their sexuality, is binary. They often wonder why so much time is spent exposing Kamala rather than Trump. It’s an easy question to answer. No wonder they struggle with it so much. There really is no need to expose Trump because the mainstream media does that quite well. Furthermore, if 80 to 90% of the Black vote traditionally goes to the Democratic candidate, why in TF would you spend equal time on the two candidates? I don’t think Kamala supporters are aware enough to know exactly what they’re doing, but they don’t really need to be. They just have to be programmed to do it. They are employing a very common guerilla warfare tactic. If you can get your adversary to expend a lot of unnecessary energy in frivolous pursuits, that’s energy that they can’t spend against you. It’s even better if some of that energy can be used to actually achieve your own goals to their detriment. It’s similar to when women ask why do men spend so much time talking about female reproductive irresponsibility when it “takes two to tango?” But if most of you broads are doing the tango with the same Django, why would I spend equal time chastising all the Urkels out there and those suffering from a bad case of Drydich’s disease? What they want you to do is waste your time because all that energy you spend trying to hold the 40 year old virgins accountable for what they aren’t doing can’t then be used to hold the 304’s accountable for what they are doing. The short answer here is when you start voting for Republicans the way you do for Democrats, then we will start doing to Trump what the mainstream media is already doing very well.

So, what should you do if you are in a swing state and it’s legitimately going to be close? First, I think voting is better than not voting. There are some people who are convinced that voting doesn’t matter and the outcome is predetermined. You might be right, but so what? Take the time off work and go vote. Why do you love your job so much? Send me a jury summons on Nov. 6th please. Vote in person or mail in your vote. Whatever. It doesn’t require that much energy. You can also abstain from voting for a presidential candidate. The reason why this matters is the same reason why you need to apply for jobs when you’re unemployed. If you just stop applying then they assume it’s because you like living outside instead of correctly concluding you are discouraged from all the lack of responses despite your best efforts. There may be some candidates or issues you want to weigh in on. Research them and decide. Even if you don’t, there may even be some cases when voting by party can make some small sense. When it comes to tax commissioners, I  tend to vote Republican. Why? I know they are limited in terms of their function, but because Republicans have painted themselves as the party of tax cuts, I know that m#therf#cker gon’ feel it if taxes go up and he or she is charged with collecting them. May not be fair, but oh well. County Coroner? Maybe I go Democratic. If I get shot by the cops, maybe the Democratic coroner might be more likely to put the enter and exit wounds in the right order so it’s clear I was shot in the back. Don’t like those barely reasons to vote? Then just say no to whatever tax hike they are sure to be proposing. Can't even understand what the hell the issue is about? Just default to no. If it can't be explained simply, they need to go back to the drawing board anyway. Find something. That way there is a record of you being present, but not endorsing any of these f#ckers. All right, let me stop with all this word salad like Kamala. Although I consider this more of a Zalad. It's hearty. It’s got grilled chicken and hard-boiled eggs in every bite. If you are looking to get the most impact for your vote, then vote to nullify.
