Black Falcon

First let me say that Disney has always been visual cancer. It's a propaganda machine of the highest order and this show is no exception. Having said that, the work they put in with The Falcon/Captain America and The Winter Soldier was some expert sh!t.

I'm not going to focus on the traditional sh!t Disney is known for: gender swapping, empowering White women and "balancing" out Black issues with White people. They actually managed to do some Jujitsu on the Whites as well.

Here's what they managed to accomplish and I think this is a good lesson on how you can manipulate an audience: If you had just jumped to the next Avengers film in the MCU where Sam Wilson was given the shield and he was now the leader of The Avengers, what would the response to that have been? Well, if you want to know what that is, simply imagine what a YouTube comment section would look like. Exactly. You would have a bunch of (white) people talking about how all this social justice warrioring has gone too far and how they're constantly re'jig'gering things with respect to race. You can already hear it, can't you?

"They're always taking our beloved White characters and making them Black. Captain America should have died with Steve Rogers."

And they'll say this forgetting that their favorite superhero, Jesus, was painted white. So look at how they undercut that sentiment with this show. In Endgame, Sam Wilson didn't want the shield. He said it didn't feel like it belonged to him. In fact, he deferred to Bucky with a glance who nodded in approval with his best friend Steve Rogers' decision. In the show, Sam still gives up the shield to the gov't to the dismay of Bucky. Bucky makes it clear that the shield is his responsibility. He even tells him at one point that if Steve was wrong to give him the shield that maybe he was wrong about Bucky becoming a better man. In any case, he still gives it back which would honor the wishes of white youtube commenters everywhere. So what does the gov't do? They give it to another White man who proceeds to f#ck up. So now Falcon and Bucky got to clean up another mess. After wresting the shield away from Killer Cap, Bucky basically tosses it at him like "B!tch, I said this was your responsibility and your burden." He tried to do what the Whites wanted and looked how it ended up? And if that wasn't enough, he even had original super soldier and decades long U.S. torture victim Isaiah Bradley tell him that no self-respecting Black man would ever become Captain America. According to Bradley, he wasn't the right color and there was too much Black blood on the uniform and symbol. And he's 100% correct. So let's total it up: An old, reflective Cap wanted Sam to have the shield. Steve's best friend tried to guilt him into taking the shield on several occassions. And he even had a man of his own ethnicity telling hi. that he would be betraying his race if he took up the mantle. In addition to that, he even showed himself to be a protector of White womanhood by refusing to fight the White woman who was trying to kill him(Karli).

At this point, you have primed the White male audience to say,

"What does this big John Coffey looking nigra know about anything? It's his responsibility to look after that there shield until Bucky is well enough to take it back."

They've masterfully changed the the dynamic to one where he has to take up the shield as a burden, not a benefit. Now don't get me wrong, some people will still talk their shit, but the series makes it's much harder to come out now and scream about all the social justice warrioring because he did everything he could not to take up the mantle. They've manipulated the situation in a way that will make such claims sound much more petty than they would if they had just made him Captain America without any explanation. It was a very masterful execution in that regard. Baron Zemo and the Countess would be proud.
