Fire

My previous post about the conundrum faced by impotent and incompetent leadership was removed, but you can find the screen shots here.

I want to go into more depth as to why, in the past, I've said the solution is fire and why I still believe that to be the case. What exactly would constitute an appropriate response to the murder of so many black men across the nation by police? Nothing less that the complete re-conceptualization of policing and society.

What does that look like?

Well, let's just start with the policing and let me give you an example of what that might look like. The following is not intended to be THE answer. It is not an exhaustive list. It not even a great way to go. The point is to show you the immense amount of change required to reform a small aspect like policing and thus why I think conflagration is the best and only way forward.

When a school is repeatedly failing in the South, one thing they often do is FIRE everybody and have people apply or re-apply for the jobs. They should do this in every major city across the country. You then have certain criteria in place to hire. They must live where they police. They must pass psychological testing. You make police body cams aka ham cams mandatory. If they are not on during any encounter, the perp walks free and/or you lose any civil case where that footage could've been a determining factor. You make it so they cannot use lethal force unless fired upon with a gun and you pay them better. Policing should be like other first responders in this way: they show up when called upon. They should not be roaming the streets looking for prey or trying to generate revenue to fill city or county coffers. That's how you begin to change the perception and practice of policing.

Now I already know that the above is not possible. There have been several articles and studies detailing exactly how predatory policing is in places like Ferguson. You see this form of predatory policing in almost every city that is either predominantly black or has a high concentration of black people. The bottom line is you literally cannot correct this problem because to do so would mean that you would have to bankrupt many of these cities. And by bankrupt, I mean to the degree where you can no longer deny it. The State is built on black bodies and black death. We are the coal to their steam engines, the dilithium to their warp engine.If they were to stop preying on black people, their coffers would be drained and they would not be able to service their debts or provide other services to the true citizens. Keep in mind it only took one black man being tortured and murdered by police in front of the world to cause a ripple effect across the country and world. What do you think would happen if 10 American cities go truly bankrupt in the same year? The reason why you don't see any meaningful change in policing, besides the fact that they don't want any meaningful change in policing, is that there can't be any meaningful change in policing.

This is why I say the solution is fire.

And it will be this way until there's nothing left but ash.

Some of you might be wondering if there's anything we can do to save or salvage the country? Others are wondering what happens after the country disintegrates, literally and figuratively? What happens to whatever black people remain after this country turns to dust? Is anywhere else better for black people than here? The last two questions are designed to maintain the status quo and absolve Whites of responsibility for what they've done. The better question is: How much worse will it be for the true citizens of this country? Falling from the bottom rung of a ladder is not that big of a deal. The police are already choking us down in the streets and shocked when they called out on it. Does it really matter if the spics or the chinks or some other alien(terrestrial or extraterrestrial) are the ones calling us n!gger next? Does it matter if we are hunted down and slaughtered in the streets like Ahmaud Arbery? It's already happening, Stupid. The only difference is the few of us who remain will be unable to pretend that we are safe from that exact same fate. Falling from the lowest rung is a short drop. It's very different at the top of the ladder. So this notion of saving the country is something that really should be posed to those who will inevitably show my words to be a prescient warning. For Black people, it'll just be more of the same, a sun down nation at its sunset.

But hypothetically speaking , how would they go about saving this country if they suddenly developed the will to do it?

Well, you(Whites) would have to kowtow. You would have to bend the knee. You would have to kiss the ring. You'd have to genuflect. You would have to gag on our collective penis until post-orgasmic sensitivity forces us to push your head away. You'd have to make us whole financially and in any other way we desire. You not gonna do that, right? Well, then, we're back to fire. Enjoy the Hell of your own making. It couldn't happen to a nicer group of people. This has been a centuries old blood letting process and it will continue until this country is exsanguinated. Yes, we'll die. And so will you as you are weakened from within(e.g. the race war) and by external threats(e.g. pandemics).

The only way to turn this around is to face what you've done and continue to do. You must correct all of your wrongs? How many and for how long? The answers are countless and until we tell you to stop. Not going to happen, right? So welcome to the temporary new normal until the next existential threat takes us down another notch.
